My job within our group was initially to contribute to group discussions and to assist with the planning, I helped make decisions such as what the storyline would be, what the costume and make would consist of, when and where we would film, assembling a script and creating a filming timetable. This was fairly easy as it was a group effort to begin with rather than individuals working on individual tasks. I also played the lead role of the female assassin- Veronica during the filming, as well as assisting the director as to which shots would be most effective and which would need to be re-filmed. During post-production, I worked on Final Cut Pro to edit the footage that we had shot- cutting the unwanted areas and arranging the clips into a film which would run smoothly together, additionally I detached the unwanted diagetic sounds and replaced it (where necessary) with non-diagetic sound and music. I also helped to create the titles and credits which appear at the beginning of the film opening.

My main role within the group was designated camera woman and also director, taking on two very important roles when it comes to producing a film opening, I had to make sure that all the shots taken were taken until it was perfect, and by also using the came I had to make sure that we used different shots to show the consistency and to show our storyline. I also contributed to the planning and group discussions in organising what type of film opening we were doing, also where the locations and character profiles would be. I assembled a script and to show a plan of the story, but also as a guideline for us when we filmed, so that we could get the image we imagined, so our film opening could be effective showing everything we wanted. During the post production, I worked on the editing, cutting shots to show a smooth running of the film opening. Furthermore I helped with making the film credits and title sequence, to make sure if flowed with our footage and that it showed consistency throughout.

I had the key role to make sure the lighting in production was consistent and of good clarity. I played the role of a Mickey (villian) during the filming. I also assisted the director with appropriate camera angles during the filming. In post production I also contributed towards editing of the footage in the final cut pro, I also chose the music/sound for the footage making sure its the most appropriate for the scenes. Finally I aslo helped with choosing font and textsize in opening credits and title.

My role within our group was to contribute towards our group discussions and to help give essential planning and preparation for the film. Also I assisted in choosing the right costumes needed for my character. I gave contributions towards the ideas of the locations we chose to do our shooting, also I assisted in coming up with the storyline and plot for our film opening. I was tasked to find appropriate sounds for the film and to place it in our video. An example was the opening scene. Another job I was given was editing which was quite difficult because I had to change the duration and speed of various footage, disable and attach sounds to the chosen clip and cut off the parts that were no longer needed for the final film opening. My final and most important role in the team was to be playing the role of Ray, who is a negative character in the film opening |
